About you and the role

John Holland with design partner GHD will deliver the Urban Utilities Regional Treatment Plants (RTP) Program scope which involves a program of upgrades and renewal works to treatment plants, pipelines & pump stations in Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer Valley & the Scenic Rim.

We are looking for a Civil Site Engineer to join the team based in Bundamba, QLD. This role will see you working as part of a close-knit team coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project and time and budget objectives. 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Work closely with the Project Engineering and Supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of program requirements from a cost and time perspective. 
  • Significant input in managing project Quality Systems with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping. 
  • Planning & programming. 
  • Subcontractor management 
  • Ensure compliance of the works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards with a focus on risk management.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree qualified Civil Engineer with at least 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Understanding contemporary practices in construction methodology on civil infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in large scale water infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders. 
  • A team player with the ability to deliver on tight deadlines.
