Due to continued growth, WesTrac Sydney are seeking experienced Plant Mechanics, Heavy Diesel Vehicle Mechanics, Light Vehicle Mechanics & Fitters to be based from our Casula Branch in the General Workshop and New Machines workshop.

Successful applicants will join a high-performing team that ensures customer satisfaction, technician productivity, efficiency, safety, and workshop housekeeping. You must be driven, motivated, and goal-oriented, and able to work safely.

Multiple roster options available

Roster 1 – Dayshift: Monday- Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm – dayshift only

The hourly rate for this role will start at $44.68, OT rate from $67.02

*Rate above is a base rate only. Each candidate will be assessed based on competencies, skills and experience.

Roster 2 – Rotating: Monday- Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm  x 2 weeks, Monday- Friday, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am x 2 weeks

The hourly rate for this role will start at $50.91, OT rate from $76.36

What we’re looking for

  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • Heavy Industry experience is desirable
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar surface mining or construction equipment (desirable)
  • Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements
  • Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards
