We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Supervisors to join our Mobile Equipment Maintenance Section of the Asset Management & Infrastructure Department.  As a Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the maintenance activities for specific areas within the Porgera operations. We are hiring for the following positions:

Supervisor – Truck ShopSupervisor – Shovels and Drills
Supervisor – Dozer / Grader / Loader ShopSupervisor – Crane Maintenance
Supervisor – Surface Mobile Rebuild ShopSupervisor – Lube Bay 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of skilled technicians in their day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintenance best practices
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and efficient servicing, repairs, and inspections for the assigned equipment
  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze data, and identify potential issues or areas for improvement
  • Coordinate with other departments to plan and prioritize maintenance activities in alignment with production targets
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure adherence to maintenance standards
  • Train and mentor Trade Assistants and Tradesman to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the PJV Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health and safety rules and procedures

The ideal candidate must have: 

  • NATTB Trade qualification in Heavy Equipment Fitting or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience as a Supervisor in the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Department/Section within the Mining or Heavy Industry sector
  • In-depth knowledge of various mobile equipment types (trucks, dozers, graders, loaders, surface mobiles, shovels, drills, cranes, etc.) and their maintenance requirements
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize maintenance processes
  • Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety regulations and procedures

Mobilization Requirement 

  • This position is open to PNG Citizens Only 
  • Rotation is FIFO, 28 days on and 14 days off
  • Adhere to Covid19 Protocols 
  • Valid and current PNG Driving License is desirable 
  • Must Have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months)
