About the Role

We are currently seeking safety focused Electricians to join our Fixed Plant Shutdown team on a Dynamic 182 roster Fly In Fly Out from Perth. A Dynamic 182 roster is similar to a shutdown roster made up of 182 shifts a year, shifts will be dependent on demand but because you will be a permanent employee you still receive a consistent fortnightly pay regardless of the amount of shifts you work. As part of the shutdown team you will execute shutdown planned maintenance across the 5 inland Iron Ore mine process plants within the central and eastern Pilbara regions (Yandi, Area C, South Flank, Jimblebar & Whaleback)

Key responsibilities:

  • Fixed Plant Maintenance on Extra Low Voltage, Low Voltage and High Voltage equipment
  • Inspection, servicing, testing, and reporting of faults on Electrical Systems
  • Maintenance and modification of cables, equipment, and associated structures
  • Installation of new cables, equipment, and associated structures
  • Protection equipment inspections
  • Residual Current Device testing
  • Ramp down & ramp up electrical support
  • HV (RADIAL) and LV Isolations
  • Application & removal of shutdown lock boxes

About You

The successful candidate will possess the following:
 

  • Electrical trade licence
  • Minimum C class manual drivers licence
  • HV Switching would be advantageous
  • Extensive experience in fixed plant electrical maintenance 
  • Experience in a shutdown & outage environment would be advantageous 
  • The ability to work within a team environment and build effective working relationships
  • Experience or a fast learner with work management software tools (e.g. 1SAP) 
  • A commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedure 
  • EWP / Working at Heights
