Reporting to the Contract Supervisor, the motivated Auto Electrician will be part of a busy operation carrying out repairs and maintenance on our variety of caterpillar equipment, which includes D10 and D11 Dozers, 992 Wheel Loaders, 24M Graders and a wide range of models of Off Highway Trucks (777F – 793F).  Supporting Rio sites. This work will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.  Complimenting a team of 15+ Mechanics, this role is vital for the ongoing work and projects.  
 

Location: Goldfields


Roster:  FIFO position – various roster options available 2/1, 12/9 – 12.5-hour days – with option of overtime

FIFO Interstate opportunity welcomed.  WesTrac will offer flights from major eastern state cities for suitably qualified Auto Electricians interested.
 

To be successful the following is required: 

  • Australian Recognised Auto Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Heavy equipment product knowledge – Component change out experience seen as advantageous
  • Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac’s SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer
  • LR license required for Field Vehicle
  • Dogging & Basic Rigging (highly desirable but not essential)

Duties:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on a range of machinery
  • Diagnostics and fault finding
  • Interpret machine data
  • Implementation of systems upgrades
